    Significance Statement
This was the home of motion picture pioneer Carl Willat from 1927 to 1940. Willat was one of the developers of Technicolor in 1916. Along with his brother Irvin, he went on to found Willat Studios in 1920. Willat sold the studio, located in Culver City, the year before this house was constructed. For these reasons, the house is not associated with his productive life in the entertainment industry.
