Resource Descriptions

General Description
"The Crenshaw Mesa Historic District is composed of eight single- and multi-family properties on the west side of Crenshaw Boulevard, between Westmount Avenue and 52nd Street, in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. This portion of Crenshaw is elevated and separate from the rest of the corridor. Lot sizes are consistent, and properties retain uniform setbacks with sloped lawns fronted by concrete sidewalks. Most properties have driveways with curb cuts that lead to porte coch+¬res and detached garages.Residences are in the Mediterranean Revival, Spanish Colonial Revival, and Tudor Revival styles. Typical features include stucco cladding and arched window and door openings. Of the eight properties comprising the district, seven are contributors."
