    Significance Statement
Excellent collection of early ornamental streetlights in Westlake. Streetlights with "dragon arm" support and "stemware platter of fruit" finial, "Olympic Special" style, located along both sides of Olympic Boulevard between Hoover Street on the west and the 110 Freeway on the east. In the 1920s and 1930s, Olympic Boulevard was decorated with this style of streetlight from downtown Los Angeles to West L.A. Today, some examples display the original "tear drop" pendant luminaire, while others have been retrofitted with modern cut-off luminaires. Note that the full extent stretches west of Hoover (into the Wilshire CPA) and east of the 110 Freeway (into the Central City CPA). These streetlights appear to meet local criteria only and may not meet significance thresholds for National Register or California Register eligibility.
