    Significance Statement
    Long-time home of Austrian composer and painter Arnold Schoenberg during the productive period of his professional career. Schoenberg was associated with the expressionist movement in German poetry and art, and leader of the Second Viennese School. He was an important member of the European Jewish émigré community that developed on the Westside of Los Angeles during and after World War II.
